Engineering Day
Would-be engineers, scientists and kids of all ages are invited to Engineering Day 2018 at Riverfront Museum. Engineering Day activities are free of charge and open to the public in the Museum Lobby, sponsored by Peoria area and Central Illinois engineering professionals.
The event will take place in the main lobby and auditorium of the museum, but volunteers may be asked to roam the museum as needed to assist visitors with locating the specific engineer groups, the ticket desk, etc. Specific assignments will be provided upon arrival. Volunteers will be needed: full day: 11:00-5:00; half-day: 11:00-2:30 or 2:30-5:00. Please RSVP to assist with this special event by 2/9.

The volunteer mission is to supplement the mission of the Peoria Riverfront Museum by providing genuine hospitality to visitors, engaging visitors in educational programming, assisting with the interpretation of exhibitions, and inspiring the community through the value of volunteer service.
The Peoria Riverfront Museum is a one-of-a-kind collaboration where visitors can explore and learn about the world--from our own backyards to far-off galaxies. We focus on interdisciplinary learning--a fusion of art, history, science, and achievement designed to develop knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong passion for learning.
