Red Door AnimalShelter is teaming up with Adrenaline Sports Management for the Bunny Rock 5K. it's a perfect match for the only Bunny shelter in Chicago! With your help we can raise more than $2500 for our animals - not to mention the great publicity.

PLEASE consider spending a few hours at our beautiful lakefront to help us reach this goal. All volunteers receive a volunteer t-shirt, bunny ears, snacks/drinks and our continual gratitude. We can also sign off on any volunteer hours for school or community service.

Jobs include:
Water and Aid Station - Volunteers will serve water and endurance drinks to participants at specific locations along the course.
Race Day Packet Pickup - Volunteers will check in pre-registered participants and help pass out the participant packets, t-shirts, goody bags, and any other race information to the participants.
Gear Check - Volunteers will collect and store the participants gear until it is picked up after the event has completed.

About Red Door Animal Shelter

Location:

2410 W Lunt Ave, Chicago, IL 60645, US

Mission Statement

Red Door Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter committed to helping animals in need. Its primary focus is on the rescue, shelter and adoption of cats, dogs and rabbits--the three most popular pets in the United States.

Description

Red Door provides a cageless environment for its animals, giving them the closest-to-a-home experience that a shelter can provide. While our emphasis is on re-homing the animals through resourceful adoption programs, the shelter does offer permanent residence for those few animals not placed in homes.

Furthermore, Red Door is one of only five no-kill, multi-species shelters in the country that admits rabbits as well as cats and dogs, spays/neuters them and places them up for adoption.

Every year, Red Door rescues and finds homes for hundreds of abused and abandoned animals. Red Door is a 501(c)(3) organization. We receive no federal, state, county or city money. We are funded by private donations and grants from private foundations.
