Women's Flag Football Fundraiser to Benefit The Alzheimer's Association

About

The Alzheimer’s Association is looking for Young Professionals in the greater San Francisco area to assist in planning one of our newest fundraising events to bring awareness and education of Alzheimer’s, support our healthy body healthy brain program, and promote our women’s initiative to a younger demographic. Whether you are looking to meet young professionals, learn marketable skills, improve your resume, get in shape, or give back to the community, then this is the right committee for you!

Blondes vs. Brunettes is a volunteer-driven active event for women that that brings the passion and spirit of young community leaders together to support the Alzheimer’s Association. This event is a focused on a women’s flag football league and game day fundraiser with teams identifying as Blondes and Brunettes. (Note: Redheads are "free agents," permitted to play for the team of their choice. However, this group does not discriminate, all women are invited to play for either team.)

The planning committee is responsible for the overall event experience and reaching fundraising goals. Committee roles include: fundraising and sponsorship, in-kind donations, game day logistics, volunteer management, advertising and marketing, player recruitment and management, and coaching. Men and women are encouraged to join the Committee and you do not need to play in the league to be a part of the planning committee.

Funds raised at Blondes vs. Brunettes events benefit the care, support, advocacy and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Blondes vs. Brunettes was established in 2005 and is played in 50 cities across the country raising over 8 million dollars. 2016 marks the fourth year in San Francisco with a goal of raising $60k and managing 50 players.

Take the next step to tackle Alzheimer’s by joining the Young Professionals Planning Committee.
