The Community Action Program Volunteer Driver Program (VDP) is now recruiting volunteer drivers in Belknap and Merrimack Counties as well as Deering and Hillsborough area! If you are someone with even 30 minutes to spare and a desire to help those in your community, we can use you. This program provides transportation to seniors and persons with disabilities. These rides are provided by trained and secured volunteers with their personal vehicles, throughout Belknap and Merrimack Counties. The program offers rides to medical appointments, shopping and other important services that help individuals remain independent. Drivers choose their schedule and what rides they would like to do depending on their availabliity and are reimbursed for their mileage. Our program operates Monday through Friday 6am-6pm.

Community Action Program of Belknap-Merrimack manages over 70 programs designed to help those who need it most. We have multiple childcare and senior centers, administer emergency fuel and rental assistance, run Concord public transit, and provide food to thousands each year. We are recruiting traditional unpaid volunteers but you can also browse our career page if you are looking for work opportunities.
