Center for Hospice Care

Camp Evergreen is a grief camp for youth and teens that has expanded into 2 seperate camp experiences. It is a free camp for children who have experienced the death of someone important in their life.

Camp Evergreen in June will take place June 5th at Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers, MI. Free
transportation to and from camp will be provided at designated pick up sites and a licensed
nurse will be at camp at all times. This camp is for youth and teens ages 10 to 17 (18 years old
if they are a senior in high school).

Camp Evergreen Family Workshop will take place on Saturday, September 18th at the
Center for Hospice Care Mishawaka office. It is for youth ages 6 to 12 and a parent/guardian.
Children between the ages of 10-12 can attend either the June camp or the workshop.
Camp Evergreen is nonsectarian and welcomes participants regardless of race or religion.

Volunteers are needed to be adult buddies for each youth camper and for small groups of
teen campers. We also need adult volunteers to assist with the general activities of camp.
Center for Hospice Care trains all volunteers and offers support throughout the June camp and
during the family workshop.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Provides services to patients and families in Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, LaPorte, LaGrange, Marshall, St. Joseph and Starke Counties in Northern Indiana. It is Indiana's most chosen hospice and was established in 1978. Services include skilled nursing, home health aides, social workers, spiritual care counselors, bereavement counselors, and volunteers.
