Are You Calm Under Pressure?
Volunteers of America Northern Colorado Services
Do you love being with children? Does your heart break to see children in abusive or neglected homes? You can do something about it! Children who have been removed from their homes often fall through the cracks of the Dept of Human Services. Volunteers are needed to ensure that the child's physical, educational, and emotional needs are met while in out-of-home placements. Be mentor and a role model. Help them through the often scary and confusing court system. Or help provide children with a safe, neutral environment by being a quiet observer for family visits. A few hours a week is all it takes to help a child in need.
