Mentoring requires nothing but your effort and support to show someone you care. Spend some time, share what you know, help guide todays youth in the right direction. The Torrington Youth Service Bureau serves adolecents in DCF care throughout Litchfield County, Connecticut, and are looking for interestd volunteers to work along side them to provide stability through their placements and ultimately a successful transition to being independent and confident individuals.

The most successful volunteers will:

• Have an outgoing and supportive attitude
• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a valid drivers lisence
• reliable transportation
• Commit to meeting with their mentee 3 times a month

Volunteers are given the choice to make their own hours and schedule so this is an ideal opportunity to work around a school or work schedule. Current matches in our program feel that they have gained a lifelong support and an addition to their family. Sometimes the smallest efforts make the biggest difference-Be a Mentor Today!
