About

See below for full details. Basically, due to rain on 2/21, we werent' able to finish painting the house.

Please join us April 18th to Paint this house . Tools needed are paint brush, ladder and enthusiasm.

We have an opportunity to do a little good for someone else with other caring adults and teens on Saturday May 20th Our Y is participating in ReBuilding Together fort the third consecutive year in the Near Northside and are adopting 1 of 10 homes to spruce up for one of our seniors in the neighborhood. We can use as many helping hands as possible. Our goal is to have 40 volunteers to complete this project. Building and repair materials will be provided, but volunteers are asked to provide their own tools. A list of tools needed can be providd once you sign up. This project includes scraping, caulking and painting the exterior of the house. (basic tools by volunteers : gloves, hammer, ladders, caulk guns) We will also repair 4 window screens, a threshold and door, and possibly some flooring in the kitchen to allow wheelchair accessibility in that area. Sign in; photos; breakfast/lunch set up also available for volunteers who are not comfortable with painting. T-shirts avialable for those who pre-register. (first 40)
