The Pima County Public Library enriches lives and builds community through opportunities to learn, know, interact and grow. At the Joyner Green Valley branch, we offer programs and classes for all ages, from story times to Medicare. If you love the library and have a little free time, we have fun and interesting volunteer opportunities: Shelf reading -- making sure the books are in order on the shelves; Computer Lab -- assisting people in the lab with e-mail, printing, logging-in, etc.; Books on Wheels -- selecting and/or delivering books to folks in the community who are home bound.

The mission of the Green Valley - Sahuarita Volunteer Clearinghouse is to place volunteers with organizations that need their help.
Description
The Green Valley - Sahuarita Volunteer Clearinghouse was created to promote volunteerism in the Green Valley - Sahuarita Arizona area. The Clearinghouse works with 50 organizations, referring volunteers to them and helping them recruit and retain volunteers. The Clearinghouse was created under the auspices of the Pima Council on Aging, the Green Valley Council, and the Joyner Green Valley Library. It is staffed by volunteers and is led by an active advisory board. the Clearinghouse annually sponsors a "Volunteer Showcase."
