These individuals represent and promote the positive image and reputation of the organization in the community. We provide the information; Ambassadors provide the passion to tell our story to social and professional groups, federal and state employee groups, and student groups. This position best suits volunteers with flexible schedules, a knack for public speaking, and those who have some prior knowledge of or experience with the Foundation.

ROLE: To work alongside chapter staff to share the mission and raise awareness of Make-A-Wish Utah while increasing public support. This individual will represent and promote the positive image and reputation of the organization in the community.

REPORTS TO: Volunteer Manager and other staff members as appropriate

OPPORTUNITIES may include the following:

DEVELOPMENT:

Corporate Giving

• Introduce Make-A-Wish(r) Utah to targeted organizations and secure best contact for staff follow-up
• Assist in coordinating and supporting Corporate Proclamations (Wish Reveals)

Events and Campaigns

• Represent and support Make-A-Wish at internal and external events (gala support, golf tournaments, car shows, etc.)
• Collaborate with development staff in preparation and management of events
• Assist in outreach efforts and fundraising campaigns including Kids for Wish Kids

Donor Stewardship

• Conduct tours of A Wishing Place for a variety of different groups
• Accompany development staff on cultivation, ask, or stewardship visits

WISH SUPPORT:

Wish Family Events

• Assist in hosting wish families at internal events throughout the year (ie. Wish Family Reunion, Trick-or-Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.)

Wish Support

• Provide wish party and wish enhancement support to Wish Granters by assignment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Commitment to and a passion for the work of Make-A-Wish Utah
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent people skills with the ability to work with individuals from different backgrounds
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
