Volunteer coaches are needed for the Garden Ranch YMCA, Briargate YMCA, Tri-Lakes YMCA, Southeast YMCA, Downtown YMCA and Fountain YMCA.
Make a difference for the youth in your community and volunteer as a sports coach! Under the direction of the Sports Director, the Youth Sports Coach is responsible for teaching youth the basic skills of the sport, and creating a fun, safe and helpful environment for all youth involved.
Practices are held once a week for 45 minutes to an hour on week nights and games are played on Saturdays. Volunteers are asked to commit to an entire season. Season dates are Jan 9-March 11 for winter basketball and March 27-May 13 for Spring sports.
Volunteers may coach as many teams as they choose. Ages enrolled in the sport will range from 3 years-18 years. Please contact Jess Lyons at jlyons@ppymca.org or Sarah Medina at smedina@ppymca.org. You can also fill out an online application on our website at
