Volunteer to help people in the Grand Rapid, MN area with their Medicare questions by becoming a Senior LinkAge Line counselor.
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to become trained Medicare counselors.
Counselors help Medicare consumers, their families and caregivers better understand Medicare options by providing information and referrals regarding resources. Counselors will also help Medicare consumers enroll in programs that could assist with health insurance costs and reduce prescription drug costs.

Upon a successful background check and the completion of the three-day training class volunteers will receive certification through the Minnesota Board on Aging as a Health Insurance Counselor with the State Health Insurance and Assistance Program (SHIP). Our next volunteer training class will be Tuesday through Thursday, September 18 - 20, 2018 in Carlton, MN. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator with your questions or to request a volunteer application.
Volunteers receive staff support, guidance, and on-going training as you provide assistance, outreach, and one-on-one counseling with Medicare consumers in your community. We hold Office Hours at the ElderCircle office in Grand Rapid, MN as needed.
