We are looking for two additional volunteers in 2018.

Volunteer to help people in the Grand Rapid, MN area with their Medicare questions and become a Senior LinkAge Line counselor.

Counselors help Medicare consumers, their families and caregivers better understand Medicare options by providing information and referrals regarding resources. Counselors will also help Medicare consumers enroll in programs that could assist with health insurance costs and reduce prescription drug costs.

If you are interested in volunteering please contact us. Upon a successful background check and the completion of the three-day training class volunteers will receive certification through the Minnesota Board on Aging as a Health Insurance Counselor with the State Health Insurance and Assistance Program (SHIP). Our next class will be held in early 2018.

Volunteers receive staff support, guidance, and on-going training as you provide assistance, outreach, and one-on-one counseling with Medicare consumers in your community. We hold Office Hours at the ElderCircle office in Grand Rapid, MN as needed.
