Outward Bound California is looking for volunteers to help with event logistics for The City Skyline Challenge, a 2-day fundraising event where fundraisers, celebrities, sponsors and politicos have the opportunity to rappel off the roof of the HIlton Regency in downtown San Francisco.
We ask that volunteers are willing to work at a registration table, escort rappellers from the lobby of the hotel to the roof, hand out fliers, and be general runners for materials. More details of shifts, specific jobs, and skills needed will be sent to anyone who is interested in volunteering. Training the week before and the morning of each event day will be provided. Both event days are open to volunteers, August 18th and 19th. General times will be from 7:30 am-6 pm both days, but specific times will be announced closer to the event days.
Event Activity: This event is extremely fun and very energetic. We ask that volunteers wear comfortable shoes and we will provide volunteer shirts in various sizes. The event will be held indoors and outdoors, so please wear sunscreen and bring layers. We will have a safe place for you to keep your personal belongings.
Perks include: snacks/food/drinks, goody bags, training for specific tasks, being a part of a special event with local celebs and media outlets, as well as helping a premier non-profit experiential education organization provide sponsorship for low-income and underrespresented Bay Area students.
