Mission Statement

The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island is a 501(c)(3) private not-for-profit tax-exempt organization founded in 1973 to provide a wide range of social services to South Brooklyn's low income residents and to foster neighborhood stabilization. During the past decade the council has experienced extraordinary growth and became the central address for services of all segments of the population including the aged, the vocationally disadvantaged poor, refugees, and educationally at-risk youth.
