Purpose: The Front Desk Manager serves as the front desk receptionist and is tasked with connecting our clients with the services we provide. The Front Desk Manager is the first point of contact between St. Joseph the Worker and the community.
Location: The Front Desk Manager will have the choice of working in the St. Joseph the Worker Employment Closet in Downtown Phoenix (12th Ave. and Jefferson St.) and/or Christown (19th Ave. and Bethany Home Rd.).
Key Responsibilities
- Guides clients through proper intake procedures and forms
- Ensures all clients have a valid state/federal ID
- Answers phones and takes messages
- Connects clients to an employment specialist
- Promotes proper and efficient use of services

The mission of St. Joseph the Worker is to assist homeless, low-income and other disadvantaged individuals in their efforts to become self-sufficient through quality employment.
Description
We are an employment resource center that provides our clients with the resources, from basic to advanced, to be able to find and maintain quality employment. Those resources include one-on-one attention from job developers, computer access, interview appropriate clothing, transportation assistance, and job-specific assistance.
