Social Butterflies, Business Professionals, and Retirees Needed to Help End Alzheimer’s!

The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 20, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Join our Volunteer Committee to help recruit participants, provide coaching on fundraising and event planning, and spread the word about this exciting event. We’ll help you find a role that fits your interests, skills and schedule.

Use your passion to advance the cause.

There are lots of ways to use your interests and skills to advance the cause - and have fun doing it! Once you join the committee, select a focus that best fits you:

  • Recruitment
  • Marketing & Outreach
  • Engagement

Responsibilities:

  • Attend monthly committee meetings.
  • Promote The Longest Day in your community and social media.
  • Register for fundraising activities and recruit others to join you on The

Our Mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Description

We are the primary community resource for Alzheimers disease and related disorders through family services, education, public policy and research. We serve 96 counties in Illinois and Missouri, Skilled volunteers join professional staff to participate at every level of service from office support to public speaking to leadership and more. The associations success and growth are due to the dedication nearly 1,000 volunteers, including students and interns.
