Friends of the San Francisco Public Library's $1 Steps Book Sales are held on Wednesdays on the Main Library Steps located on 100 Larkin Street.
Volunteers work in 2 shifts: 10:00 am - 1 pm, for Set Up and 1 pm - 4 pm, for Breakdown. We are always in need of volunteers so please sign up through our online application (https://www.shiftboard.com/friendssfpl/register.html) or email Manager of Volunteer Services, Brenda Salguero at brenda.salguero@friendssfpl.org.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for community groups, corporate volunteers, and court appointed service. Individuals, small groups, and large groups (up to 15) are welcome! Proceeds provide critical support for the San Francisco Public Library and related literacy and educational programs that benefit children, students, adults, and seniors.

Friends of the San Francisco Public Library is a member-supported nonprofit organization that advocates, fundraises, and provides critical support for the San Francisco Public Library and related literary and educational programs. We provide the community with opportunities to invest in the success of the Library as well as literary and education communities by donating funds or by donating time through volunteering. We raise money and we raise our voices to ensure a first-class public library for San Francisco.
