We need upbeat volunteers to help us keep our high-end thrift store and merchandise looking fantastic. Volunteers will help sort donations, prepare items for sale, and keep the sales floor stocked and organized.
Fun, friendly environment with great merchandise! We are a non-profit organization and proceeds support education on Chicago's West Side.
Current open shifts: Tuesday mornings, Thursdays, or Fridays
This is not a one-time drop-in opportunity. This is a weekly position, so you become an integral part of the team.

Description
Every year, over 300 at-risk youth enroll in Holy Family Ministries' K-8 school, pre-school, after-school program, and summer enrichment program. Students live in Chicago's most challenged communities and enter Holy Family with a wide range of abilities. Yet, by the time they graduate 8th grade, they are accepted into college-prep high schools across Chicagoland.
Holy Family's resale store, Lucille, will generate new revenue for its youth programs. Proceeds will enable Holy Family to grow its programming and continue to offer its families an affordable tuition based on income. Approximately 75% of the cost of education at Holy Family comes from the support of generous donors and all programs are offered "first-come, first-served" without regard to religion, race, previous academic achievement, or ethnicity.
