We are seeking a Grants and Development Specialist with experience in grant writing and Non Profit Development related work.
MCS-T.O.U.C.H., a Non-Profit Agency, has a great opportunity for the right person who can assist with Grant Writing and Development. Can you take an idea and make it reality? You will assist with developing, implementing, and incorporating "Social Enterprises and New Idea’s "within the structure of a Non Profit Organization. If you are open to non-traditional methods of generating agency revenue; have an entrepreneurial spirit, this may be a perfect opportunity. You will work closely with the CEO in the development and the implementing of new innovative ideas, strategies, and projects. Start as part-time but can lead to full-time for the right person.
. Job description
- Research and evaluate funding opportunities (from government and foundation sources)
- Write and submit grants and letters of inquiry
- Coordinate internal and external collaborators for grant applications
- Work with fiscal department to create budgets and write budget narratives
- Collaborate with colleagues on program design
- write and edit official agency correspondence
- Develop and implement fundraising campaigns; obtain sponsorships for fundraising events; manage donor relations
- Write and distribute monthly newsletters
- Perform additional duties as needed
Skills and experience:
This position requires strong skills in:

- Prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- 1-2 years’ experience writing and managing grants
- Strong writing, editing, and project management skills
- High degree of professionalism; ability to communicate diplomatically
Desired qualifications:
- Master’s degree in any field
- Experience working with both government and foundation funding sources
- Proven experience writing winning grant proposals
- Capable of implementing new projects while being Creative and Innovative

Description
MCS (Metropolitan Community Services) was founded in 1984 to serve vulnerable populations in the Columbus area. In 2008, T.O.U.C.H. (Teaching Opportunity Unity by Connecting Hearts) joined MCS to provide mentoring and workforce development to formerly incarcerated men and women.
Originally focused exclusively on reentry, T.O.U.C.H. expanded its services to at-risk youth in 2010. Our agency now provides mentoring, workforce development, educational guidance, case management, and basic needs assistance both to low-income youth and to pre- and post-release adults.
