CHSM has an award-winning program for local elementary schools called the Traveling Trunk. We need up to four Traveling Trunk Docents to join our team. Docents take a trunk into schools (usually in teams of 2-3) and teach school children about local history with hands on history demonstrations. This program requires a more significant time commitment than our Museum Docents, as the training is more extensive. During the spring, TT Docents have 2-3 presentations a week, typically.
