We're a very small and friendly non-profit organization, with the majority of our staff running programs in South Sudan. You would be part of a special volunteer team that keeps our US operations running.

The VAD Foundation was established in 2006 by Valentino Achak Deng and Dave Eggers, after the publication of Eggers's best-selling novel What Is the What, which tells Deng's life story. The Foundation's mission is to help rebuild communities in war-torn South Sudan by increasing access to educational opportunities and creating viable and community-driven educational centers. In May 2009, the Foundation opened its first secondary school in the village of Marial Bai, South Sudan, and the campus is currently being expanded to include a library, teacher-training college, and community center.

Responsibilities:

Export/Import data from Paypal

Data fixes

Build custom reports / dashboards

Write out instructions for crosstraining manual

Advise on software integration

*Most work can be done remotely

Qualifications:

* Have previous professional Salesforce Administrator experience and certification

* Experience working in a non profit setting and understand the ongoing needs of nonprofit donor management

* Excellent communication and time management

* Prior interest in African issues, especially South Sudan-related issues a plus!

* A positive attitude and a sense of humor.
