Overview Be the Social Media & Internet Marketing Volunteer for a community based non-profit! MHAGC is looking for an intern/volunteer with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. MHAGC is currently redesigning and updating our website, and is active in social media. The intern/volunteer selected for this position will need strong critical thinking and creativity abilities and should be very excited to share content about mental health in general, as well as content specific to MHAGC. Anyone in this position will gain a lot of great online experience. Typical Duties Utilize social media, Internet marketing, and Internet marketing techniques to increase traffic and brand awareness Utilize Blogging, SEO, social networking, and backlink building to raise our web presence and placement on web searches Creative feedback and viral loops between our Facebook Page, twitter, and blog accounts Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more Website and social media optimization Evaluate website and social media strategy, readability, usability, interactivity and credibility Time Commitment 1-5 hours per week - Flexible hours. Can be exclusively remote. Preference will be given to Chicago area residents. College Credit Opportunity This position can be designed for undergraduate or graduate program internship/practicum credits. Volunteers should consider this role for credits in marketing, communication, writing, or journalism programs. The exact number of hours and responsibilities can be tailored to meet the requirements of individual programs.
