The Jesse Tree of Idaho offers one time rent assistance and case management to clients. Intake hours are 11am-2pm Monday through Thursday. We are currenlty looking for an intake worker for Tuesday.

Reports to:The social worker in the office the day he/she works

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer phones
• Explain the rental assistance program to potential clients
• Screen potential clients for eligibility; by phone or in-person
• Determine if initial criteria is met for client to complete an application
• Give directions of items needed for the application
• Assist clients with completing application when they come into the office
• Makes copies of the application attachments for the client
• Make referrals to community resources
• Make follow up phone calls as requested
• Maintain confidentiality of information

Expected Commitment:

• One day a week from 11:00am to 2:00pm

Training/Support:

• Volunteer Orientation
• Shadow Intake Workers
• Community Resource Manual
• Social Worker is available for questions and assistance
• Ongoing Staff Meetings to increase knowledge of resources

Age Requirement:

• 18 years or older

Dress Code:

• Business Casual

Qualifications:

• Pleasant manner, patience, problem solving ability, dependable, ability to complete paperwork, basic understanding of confidentiality
