Compassionate Care Hospice is looking for volunteers age 16 and up who want to make a difference in the lives of terminally ill patients and their families. It takes a special kind of volunteer for hospice. We are looking for people who have a heart to help and an ear to listen; someone who could be a friend to someone in their last days. Hospice patients are dealing with end of life issues and it takes very little at times to brighten their day. A smile, a kind heart, a listening ear and sometimes, fresh baked cookies! We are looking for volunteers who can work one on one with patients in facilities or private homes. Two or three hours a week is all it takes to brighten someone's life. Are you THAT person? We care for terminally ill patients with a wide range of illnesses including cancer, advanced cardiac disorders, advanced neurological disorders, AIDS, ALS (Lou Gehig's Disease), Multiple Sclerosis and any end stage disease.
At Compassionate Care we are committed to quality of life, which enables patients to remain in the comfort and privacy of their own homes, with their loved ones. We provide the special care and services that make that choice possible.
