We at the Frederick Film Festival, the F3, are a dedicated group of volunteers who desire to see more and better film in the Frederick region (a region that includes Washington, DC, Baltimore, Hagerstown, points north to Gettysburg and beyond, west into West Virginia, and South into Virginia.

Our core committee has, in the past, handled everything...fundraising, film selection, advertising, poster hanging, guest relations, sponsor interfacing, and so on. Our festival has grown now. Last festival had about 1400 submissions...up from about 200 just 2 years before. We expect to match or exceed that figure this year

For this reason we're expanding our overall group into a network. The first stage of this plan is the building of the F3 Street Team. A group of dependable volunteers who will get the word out in their local region about our festival. This includes hanging our posters (and asking businesses to do so as well), placing postcards, handing out flyers, staffing events for promotional purposes (festivals and the like), and similar jobs.

Keeping an eye open for other grass roots, boots on the streets, marketing opportunities would also be hoped for. This can include regional/local internet marketing opportunities.

We would like to space out the volunteers so that they can hit their local areas, making it easier on the street team and less likely that there would be overlap in the marketing (or the requests for marketing).
