Drive-Thru Food Pantry Assistance Needed in Long Beach

If you are looking to help fight hunger in our community, we could use your help!
We are in need of strong MALE volunteers to help load and unload food for the food pantry program.
We have various food deliveries on Weds and Fridays. All are welcome to volunteer, must be able to lift 20 pounds and sometimes more! :-)
COVID19- Help Needed!! Our pantries are changing to a "Drive-Thru" format. We need help the following:
Shift 1: Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday we need volunteers to help unload the truck and bag groceries from 9 am to 12 noon. This will take place in San Pedro.
Shift 2: After the groceries are bagged, we need volunteers to help distribute bags to clients at the pantry location, from 12:30 pm to 3 pm, in Long Beach. Directions on the drive-thru pantry will be provided once you contact us.
Shift 3: Every 1st and 3rd Friday, we need volunteers to help unload the truck and bag groceries from 9 am to 12 noon. This will take place in Long Beach.
Shift 4: After the groceries are bagged, we need volunteers to help distribute bags to clients at the pantry location, from 12:30 pm to 3 pm, in Long Beach. Directions on the drive-thru pantry will be provided once you contact us.
You are more than welcome to volunteer for 1 shift or all 4 shifts!
PLEASE NOTE: Times may vary due to scheduling outside of our control. On the day of each event, we will let you know.

Help Me Help You is a community based non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting homeless and low income families and individuals by increasing access to food, public benefits, economic security, and affordable housing.
Our work reduces hunger and poverty, improves nutrition and health, and boost family economic security. Programs target homeless and disadvantaged families and individuals, including seniors, disables individuals, single mothers, veterans and youth.

- Fashion Show benefit
- Charity Golf Tournament
- Annual Christmas Program which includes a toy-drive, turkey and ham distrbution, clothing and shoe distribution, etc.
