The MDA Muscle Walk is an annual fundraiser and gathering of MDA families and local community supporters designed to raise awareness of neuromuscular disease while also raising funds for research, treatments and cures.
Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the event from registration, accounting, logistics, manning activity stations, food stations, raffles and more. Whether you are a single volunteer or part of a larger group, please consider joining us on Saturday, September 14th to help support this great cause.

Mission Statement
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency -- a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.
MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education.
The Coastal Carolinas District covers 25 Counties in North and South Carolina.
Description
Through some 235 hospital-affiliated clinics, MDA offers quality medical care from doctors, nurses and therapists experienced in dealing with neuromuscular diseases. These clinics also serve as sites for clinical trials of the latest experimental therapies and drugs. MDA also offers about 290 support groups for those with neuromuscular diseases and their families. In addition, each year more than 4000 youngsters attend weeklong MDA summer camps.
