Bereavement Call Support

Bereavement Call Support volunteers make routine phone calls to JourneyCare's grief support clients to provide information about support groups, memorial services, and other available resources. These volunteers work directly with our Bereavement Department, who provide specialized training (and shadowing) to ensure that they understand the documentation process and have a good understanding of JourneyCare's grief support services.
These calls are an important part of the care we provide to our clients. It's crucial to let them know we're here to support them on their journey of healing after a loss.
We are seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to help in this capacity.
Orientation & Training After our 4-hour orientation, volunteer applicants interested in helping with our grief support calls will continue their training through engaging online courses and then begin working directly with the bereavement team.
Applicants must also submit to a background check. To fill out an application to become a JourneyCare Volunteer, please visit our website: http://journeycare.org/volunteer/apply-volunteer/
We'll work with your schedule.
