Volunteers preserve and improve the physical and biological components of Triangle Land Conservancy's Nature Preserves. The Conservation Corps meets on a regular, weekday basis (Thursdays, usually 9am to noon) to carry out trail construction and maintenance, invasive species monitoring and control, basic construction and woodworking projects, general landscaping, property and equipment maintenance, and garden construction and management. Conservation Corps is focusing on several projects this summer including preparing Brumley Nature Preserve to open.

Mission Statement
Triangle Land Conservancy strives to create a healthier and more vibrant Triangle region by safeguarding clean water, protecting natural habitats, supporting local farms and food, and connecting people with nature through land protection and stewardship, catalyzing community action, and collaboration.
Description
Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) is a membership-supported, nonprofit that sees the Triangle region as an increasingly healthy and vibrant place to live where wild and working lands are protected and everyone has access to open space, clean water, and local food. TLC’s protected sites in Wake, Durham, Orange, Chatham, Johnston, and Lee counties encompass more than 17,000 acres, including five nature preserves open year-round to visitors and a canoe access area, all free of charge. We protect land in a variety of ways, including purchasing land, holding conservation easements on important tracts of land, and working with partners to make a larger impact through joint conservation efforts.
