Our dogs need walking! The exercise is good for them, and it helps to socialize them, as well. Learning how to behave on a leash helps our dogs chances for adoption. As a bonus, you get some exercise, too - it's a win-win!

Mission Statement

The Voorhees Animal Orphanage will provide housing, food, and medical care to stray, abandoned, and surrendered dogs and cats in Camden County for the purpose of finding them safe and permanent new homes.


Voorhees Animal Orphanage is a no-kill shelter and adoption center located in Voorhees, NJ. We maintain animal service contracts with 17 municipalities in Camden County, serving approximately 1200 dogs and cats annually. VAO is also an adoption center, providing permanent homes and foster placements for approximately 1000 dogs and cats annually in the Camden County area.
