Do you have a desire assist others, and an interest in culinary arts (cooking/baking)? We've got a perfect opportunity for you! Volunteers will assist the directors of our Food Service training program. Tasks include assisting clients with disabilities as they bus tables, help with baking and cooking breakfasts/lunches/snacks, cleaning, and stocking. This is a fun, exciting, never a dull moment, fast-paced assignment. Volunteers who are dedicated, follow instructions well, are dependable and patient are particularly treasured at CEA. Mission Statement
The Center for Educational Advancement (CEA) is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to Educate, Empower and Employ individuals with special needs.
Description
Since 1970, CEA has been helping individuals with special needs to achieve self-sufficiency through employment. CEA also operates Spring Run School (SRS) which is a State of NJ private secondary special education high school serving the needs of youth age 14 - 21 with physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities.
We have been serving students living in the surrounding communities since 1984. CEA also provide vocational and transitional services to all youth attending our Employment Services Programs.
CEA's Employment Training Programs include Food Services, Office Technologies, Packaging & Assembly and Building Maintenance.
Our mission is supported by our CEA Packaging department which provides custom packaging and inspection services to the community in our FDA approved facility for re-packaging and re-labeling.
