ORGANIZATION: Compass Housing Alliance

  • 7 people are interested

Compass Housing Alliance’s Road to Housing Program works with connecting homeless men, women and families living in their cars to safe parking spots. In addition to a safe parking spot which is invaluable to a person living in their car, clients have access to bathrooms, cooking spaces, and most importantly case management and support to find housing. In addition families with children living in their cars have access to a safe and warm place to sleep. Many of these churches and parking spots not only provide a safe place to park but a safe community to live in. We are looking for skilled auto mechanics to volunteer and help with clients' vehicles. For our clients in the Road to Housing Program, their vehicles are their only shelter. Thus having a working vehicle and important but often costly mechanical repairs are crucial for their survival.
