The Center for Women defines a mentor as a trusted friend and guide. Our Mentor Program aims to create a supportive community of women helping women achieve success.
Navigating a life transition such as divorce, death of a loved one, or workforce re-entry can be overwhelming. With the Center for Women, mentees work to enhance confidence and skills with mentors who offer encouragement and support. A mentor is an accountability partner, a friend who can provide fresh insight, and a listening ear who understands her mentee's perspective.
The CFW Mentor Program serves women in the Pittsburgh area. Pairs meet over the course of six months to a year. We carefully screen and monitor participants throughout the mentoring process to promote successful matches. If you are a woman interested in enriching your life by sharing your own experiences, listening and supporting a new friend, then the CFW Mentor Program may be a good fit for you!
