The Walk is a family friendly event organized by Speech and Language Development Center to raise funds to help support individuals with autism and other disabilities. Volunteers are needed to assist in set-up and management of various activities through out the event, such as registration, kids zone support, resource fair coordination & direction etc. You can also sign up to walk by visiting our website at www.sldc.net.

Description
Speech and Language Development Center is one of the largest accredited, non-public Pre-K through Post-12 schools in California providing therapy and educational services to children, youth and adults who have multiple disabilities and challenges. More than 250 students from 63 school districts and regional centers in Southern California are enrolled at our Buena Park campus. Founded in 1955, the Center's comprehensive curriculum treats students with diagnoses including, but not limited to, autism spectrum disorders (more than 60%) Down Syndrome, learning disabilities, hearing impairment (at least 30%), emotional and behavioral problems, visual deficits, language-learning disorders, seizure disorders and traumatic brain injuries.
