There is nothing more rewarding than hearing a great success story! 2-1-1 Specialists refer the public to important resources in the community. Help us to learn what a difference those referrals can make in their lives.

2-1-1 Maryland Helpline at United Way handles thousands of calls each year and provides resources and information about a wide variety of health and human services. Making a follow-up call is where information and referral leave off. Our survey goal is to find out about the callers experience with 2-1-1 as well as the resources in the community and if they were able to obtain the assistance they needed or if there is room for more assistance.

Excellent customer service and pleasant phone manner a must! Volunteers will be trained to work with the web based computer program to record caller responses.

Train to make follow-up survey calls during daytime hours, 9-5 Monday through Friday at our Baltimore location.

Easily accessible by bus, shuttle from the Inner Harbor or car (FREE parking)!

Description

Every 2 seconds, someone in the United States calls 211 for help. This three digit number has revolutionized access to help in our country, providing one place to call for any health and human service issue.
UWCM’s call center (one of 4 in Maryland) serves as a barometer of need for issues in our community giving UWCM a unique vantage point for identifying, assessing, tracking, and meeting people;/s basic needs locally.
2-1-1 is a 24/7 information and referral service that connects people with the health and human resources they need, with care and confidentiality.

Last year our call center answered over 95,000 calls for help.
