About

We're looking for teen volunteer teachers (preferably high school and college students) to teach in our signature Coding for Kids workshops. The 'Coding for Kids' workshop is usually either two sessions lasting two hours, or three one hour sessions. We teach coding concepts to young students using visual coding blocks. To teach in the class, you don't need any previous programming experience or computer science background. We'll give you full training and coaching, in our two hour volunteer training session. This program is unique: not only will you get several volunteer hours from the library, it will also give you a good experience in teaching, you will learn new leadership skills, and you'll come to enjoy programming even more. If you are interested, look at our website for more details: www.mathandcoding.org. We currently do not have a set schedule, but the workshop is planned to happen during March or April, most probably during the Break for the local schools. If you are interested, contact us with your details, avaliability.
