KINDRED HOSPICE is looking for volunteers who would like to share their love for animals with Hospice Patients in their home, Assisted Livings as well as Nursing Homes. Pet therapy has been shown to increase pain tolerance, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and bring smiles to patient's faces. It can be especially useful in the hospice setting for patients who have withdrawn from the people around them but find interacting with an animal easier and less painful.   • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • 2-4 Hours per month, for at least 6 month time frame
  • Clear background screening, clear urine drug screening, clear negative TB results, and orientation training including completion of competency test - Licensed and Certified therapy animals/paperwork
