Change starts with you - open your home and your heart to an international exchange student. As a CIEE host family, you will offer a young international student the opportunity to discover America through your eyes. Your family will not only gain a new family member, you will also learn about a different culture, its values and traditions, language, food, and more. Host Family Requirements As a CIEE USA High School host family you: Welcome a student into your home as a family member for one or two semesters Provide a bed and bedroom (can share with same gender close in age) Provide an appropriate place to study Provide meals, at home and school Provide necessary transportation To start your journey, go to www.ciee.org/highschool

Description
Founded in 1947, CIEE is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to quality exchange and global learning opportunities. The CIEE USA High School Program is designated by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor our students on a J-1 visa to attend high school in America. We are also approved by the Council on Standards for International Education Travel (CSIET).
We are accomplishing our mission through diverse programs ranging from secondary level to teacher and faculty development seminars. Our staff are highly trained and devoted to providing the highest level of service to our global partners and program participants. Visit www.ciee.org for a listing of all CIEE programs.
