ORGANIZATION: The Agapao Movement

POSITION STATUS:
- Exempt (volunteer) [Note: The Agapao Movement is operated entirely by volunteers]
- This position serves as a member of Agapao’s Leadership Team

ABOUT THIS POSITION: Volunteers are the lifeblood of a nonprofit organization therefore this position is essential to the overall success of The Agapao Movement. He/she holding this position is responsible for creating and maintaining an extraordinary volunteer experience that gets people excited about volunteering with The Agapao Movement.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Volunteer Coordinator works directly with the Executive Director and other program coordinators to identify areas needing volunteer support and then meeting those needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have strong decision making skills and be able to work independently.
- Must be willing and ably agree to perform in accordance with the Requirements & Commitments of the position.
- Requires a background check.
- Preferably at least 21 years of age.

REQUIREMENTS & COMMITMENT:
- Projected time commitment: Ongoing / projected commitment = 4-6 hours per week
- Orientation and Training
- The majority of functions can be completed virtually; however, there are times when the Volunteer Coordinator should be available to meet face-to-face with other members of the Leadership Team.
- We will discuss the adaptability of the position with suitable candidates
