Friendly Drivers Needed to Bring Senior Clients to Appointments

Imagine your parent or relative living alone and they no longer drive. They can't afford a taxi, and a bus is too difficult and stressful to get on and off and there's no one to talk to. Won't you be a warm and friendly driver/companion to them?

We are looking for volunteers for our senior transportation program in the Boca Raton and Delray Beach areas. Our volunteers transport seniors to medical appointments, grocery store, and other locations as available. The clients might use a cane or walker, but no wheelchairs or physical transferring.

You can volunteer any weekday you'd like... mornings or afternoons. All appointments are scheduled in advance and based on your availability. Drivers are reimbursed their mileage from the clients home to the appointment and back. No tips are to be accepted, however, the baked goods the clients make as a gesture of their apprciation for your generosity may be enjoyed!

We do ask that volunteers have a well working, clean car and carry a minimum of $100,000/300,000 liability car insurance. Motor vehicle check and Level 2 background screening will also be performed. JFS also has special insurance to cover our volunteers above and beyond their coverage.
