ORGANIZATION: Midwest Brain Injury Clubhouse

Hello! We are a non-profit organization that tends to persons that have acquired brain injuries or have suffered strokes. We are a rehabilitation center that offers adult day services and we strongly believe that "working" is healing. Our members use our computer stations to relearn vital life skills such as typing, researching the internet, taking speech training courses etc.

As you can imagine our computer infrastructure is very important. I have a very easy task to ask of you......We need 10 more computer stations to be connected to our internet and make sure the PC towers are in good condition. (someone with pc repair and networking experience will be needed).

We have about 15 PC towers that have been donated and earmarked as non-working...out of those 15 we need to fix 10 to make sure they become part of our new work stations.....(you can use the other towers for parts). We have brand new keyboards and monitors, power cables, we have some Ethernet cables and mice....we just need 10 towers to work and to be hooked up to our internet....If you can donate a couple of switches we would appreciate it.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you are willing to volunteer your time for our cause please feel free to reply to this post and I will make sure to arrange a time for you to visit our location. Our hours of operation are M-F 8AM-4PM although we can stay a little later if needed. This can be a one day all day project or if needed you can come a little bit at a time.

We really appreciate any assistance we can get and look forward to meeting you!!

Mission Statement

Mission Statement: To provide life long rehabilitative services and support to those affected by brain injury or stroke.

Description

The Clubhouse is a unique place where individuals can come to relearn skills through the work of the day. We like to think of the Clubhouse as our home away from home and the folks here are like family. For many the Clubhouse is the next step in transitioning from a patient back into the real world.
