If you are a friendly, energetic people person who enjoys making a difference, please consider volunteering in the Transportation/Redcoats Volunteer Service at Elkhart General Hospital. This rewarding volunteer opportunity is responsible for greeting everyone who enters our facility, as well as helping them to their destination within the hospital, helping with patient discharges, and so much more! Volunteer shifts are 4 hours long ranging from 7 am - 8:00 pm, Monday - Friday and 8 am - 4 pm on Saturday. Successful candidates will have the ability to push wheelchairs and walk long distances, as well as be comfortable interacting with the public. New Volunteer Orientation is required to begin the process of volunteering at Elkhart General Hospital. To attend orientation please RSVP in advance. Description
The Volunteer Services Department at Elkhart General Hospital works in partnership with the Elkhart Hospital Auxiliary, an organization that has provided both funding for special projects at the hospital, and service hour support to patients, visitors, and guests, and those in the surrounding community.
