Looking for ways to get involved in your community? As a volunteer with Mission: St. Louis’ Job and Leadership Training program, you will have the opportunity to work with men as they become leaders in their workplace, community and families. Visit our website to learn more about how our Job and Leadership Training program works with our students: http://www.missionstl.org/what-we-do/job-leadership-training/
We provide dinner for the students (around 20-30 people) on Monday and Thursday evenings. The meals offer a time for community-building as students and volunteers build relationships over a nice meal. We need volunteers willing to either cook a meal, purchase food from a local restaurant, or to provide money for the cost of a meal. You can cook it in your home or use the kitchens at Mission: St. Louis! This is an excellent opportunity if you have a group of people that want to get together and just hang out while all of you cook. Session runs from the end of September to mid-November, so we'll need volunteers for meals every Monday and Thursday night between those dates.

Mission Statement
Mission: St. Louis' mission is to empower people to transform their lives, families and neighborhoods. We are committed to transforming the city of St. Louis by connecting individuals/groups to communities in need through education, empowerment, and economic development.
Description
Education
Mission: St. Louis believes education is the primary imperative in the empowerment and development of both individuals and communities. Through education, we can work along side individuals to inspire and develop indigenous leadership.
Empowerment
Mission: St. Louis seeks to empower people to grow and develop in all aspects of their lives. Empowerment means engaging people as equals, not as dependents of charity. To do this, we enter into dynamic interpersonal relationships based on mutual respect, trust, integrity, grace and compassion. Through empowerment, we are able to work together in achieving personal and community pride based on a regenerated sense of worth.
Development
Mission: St. Louis desires to develop people and communities holistically through economic and spiritual development. Lasting, authentic change only happens from the inside out. This means that we must work to bring about long-term change in both economic and spiritual spheres. We believe this can only come from building trust through authentic relationships.
