We are CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates. For more than 40 years we have supported youth in the child welfare system here in Jackson County. We are a nonprofit organization that represents children in the child welfare system in family court. We recruit and train volunteers to visit the children monthly, build relationships, and represent their best interests in meetings about their welfare. Mission Statement
Our mission is to be a child’s voice in court. We recruit, train, and support volunteers who act as advocates on behalf of the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

We are CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates. We are a nonprofit organization that represents children in the child welfare system in family court. We recruit and train volunteers to visit the children monthly, build relationships, and represent their best interests in meetings about their welfare. We are always looking for volunteers who can welcome and affirm children from all backgrounds.
For more than 40 years we have advocated on behalf of youth in the child welfare system in the Greater KCMO area. By end of 2025 we will advocate on behalf of 100% of youth in foster care. In 2024, Jackson County CASA was named the Chief's Charity Game Recipient and will remain so for the next 2 years. Jackson County CASA remains the only CASA in the area that has attorneys on staff.
