Would you like to make a difference in the lives of others? Join an amazing and caring hospice team that will utilize and honor your skills, gifts, talents and compassion to people facing the end of their lives. Volunteering for Honor Hospice provides an opportunity to engage with your community and provide non-medical supportive services and comfort to patients and their families. A variety of volunteering opportunities are available such as companionship, life-review, reading to patients, respite-care, watching television or movies together, bereavement support and simply providing a compassionate presence. If you would like to work behind the scences, we also have opportunities for administrative volunteers. We also welcome alternative healing therapy volunteers including pet therapy, music therapy, massage therapy and Reiki. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team and you will be truly supported as a team member with us! Your time is a wonderful gift to people and their families facing end-of-life concerns. Free traning is provided as well as ongoing continuing education opportunities. Please contact Cindy Pincus (cpincus@ehhi.com), Volunteer Coordinator, for more information on how to get started!
