With Silverado communities, home patients, and nursing homes closing their door to medical authority’s social workers, spiritual counselors and volunteers in order to prevent the spread of infection. Many of our patients are cut off from visitors, but they can receive heartfelt letters from you, your friend, your neighbors or drawings from your child, grandchild, a friend of a friends child... you get the point. (a side benefit is that their contributions can also help parents to keep kids busy and distracted during the long hours homebound) J This makes an enormous difference to our patients. It tells them we are thinking of them, we care about them. AND this a great way to teach our kids how to be compassionate and kind during this time. Our patients need our love more than ever right now. Let’s shower them with PLENTY OF LOVE!

We believe that Hospice patients have the right to continue life to the fullest extent possible according to their circumstances, and in fostering opportunities for growth and fulfillment. We further recognize patients and families decision-making rights in relation to continuing medical treatments and their right to withdraw treatment whose benefits are outweighed by their burdens.
