What life skills do you have that you can share with homeless adults? Life skills are essential for living independently and being a productive member of society. Some people never learned these skills and others need skills refreshed to improve self-sufficiency. We need individuals who can teach/facilitate life skills classes in areas such as managing a household, financial management, anger managment, dealing with stress, couponing, grocery shopping, time management, nutrition and more.
Contact us to learn more about this rewarding opportunity and how YOU can participate in preparing folks for self-sufficiency.

Mission Statement
The Refuge at Jumper Creek, Inc. assists people to develop healthy, realistic goals while equipping them with the skillset necessary to make positive and life-changing choices so that they are able to be productive members of society.
Description
The Refuge at Jumper Creek is a faith-based shelter located in rural Sumter County. We house single men, single women, single parents and intact families. We take in folks who have nowhere else to go; many finding themselves at the lowest point in their lives. We provide them with all of their essential needs, and work diligently with them to get them back on their feet. Our folks work a case plan, attend life skills and other enrichment programming, and eventually transition out on their own. We operate primarily on donations and with the help of volunteers just like you!
