PPE and social distancing are required by the volunteer and client during this COVID-19 virus.
The volunteer would transport seniors or someone with a disability to needed appointments, the grocery, hair appts, luncheons, etc. Members needing the transportation must be ambulatory but may require assistance and someone to accompany them as they go. Volunteers would view our service requests list for the following week that is posted on our website and contact our Volunteer Coordinator if any meet their available time to accept the request for service. The volunteer would use his/her own vehicle and would not receive any monetary compensation for gas or the use of that vehicle. Mileage can be used as a charitable tax donation.

Mission Statement
The mission of Made to Stay is to provide a non-profit membership organization for senior members of McCracken county to enable them to remain in their own homes by providing services which they may not be able to provide for themselves due to age or health. The senior will be required to purchase a membership which will give them access to the services of the organization. The organization will be made up of senior members, volunteers, and staff. Services depend on volunteer availability and include such things as: transportation, small home repairs, yard work, social events, friendly calls and visits to check on well-being, and a list of preferred service providers.
Description
We are part of the "village organization" movement which is growing across the U.S. and is outlined on the Village to Village website. We have recently formed and will begin taking members and offering services on January 1, 2015. We currently operate out of the director's home. As of December 2016, we have completed over 950 service requests for our members. We have 18 members and 12 active volunteers.
