The Naomi Project, a program of Britepaths, needs volunteers to mentor at-risk pregnant or newly parenting women in Northern Virginia for a year or longer as appropriate. Mentors answer pregnancy and parenting questions; provide advice, support and counsel; share experiences; help mom find needed resources; and plan for a healthy future with her baby. Mentors give of themselves, by donating their time, kindness, compassion, empathy and skills. Naomi Project periodically holds training sessions for new mentors. Spanish speakers are especially needed. Please visit https://britepaths.org/our-programs/naomi-project/mentoring for more detailed information, and to retrieve the application form.
