We are looking for birthday toys for needy children's Community Birthday Party Event. We are working on getting the first quarterly birthday party toys before March 20th. Our 2017 Community Birthday Party Events will be every 4 months. Our first Community Birthday Party Event will be in Tucson, Arizona on March 25, 2017. We will inform qualifying needy applicants and volunteers of the location. Our estimated start time is about 2:30 PM. Our next Community Birthday Party event will be in September of 2017. Birthday gifts ideas would be Car Models for boys, adult coloring books for teenage girls, Doll House items for the younger girls and and items for newborn and toddler boys and girls.
Each Birthday child under 13 years old will receive a birthday gift. Parents must bring the child's birth certificate, showing proof of biirthdate. Donations of Birthday Party decorations will help our volunteers decorate the ramada, wrap the birthday gifts and hand the birthday gifts out.
Parents and Grandparents who would like to sign their chilld(ren) up for our Community Birthday Party Event can e-mail the Big Hearts with Helping Hands of Arizona Organization for an application.
We would like to thank all of our 2016 Secret Santa's, who helped put so many smiles on these less fortunte children's faces this past December holiday season. The shocking look on the children's faces said a lot. We will be geting pictures posted to our Facebook page as we get them in. So many parents wonder who made this holiday season such a happy one for their children. We will also post comments from parents as we get them. Seeing these children's faces go from sad to shocked to happy is so rewarding. Most of these children have never experienced a December holiday, because they live in such poverty. With the help from our community and all of the Secret Satna's who mailed us toys for a specific child(ren), you have taught children about the feeling of giving. Especially from people they do not even know, children have made a new firend. Those who revceived a Secret gift giver wonder and ask questions. "How did that get here?" "How were you able to afford that mom?" "Who did this for me mom?" "I didn't know that strangers even cared about us", "Didn't he die from being an old man mommy?" The things the children say and start to wonder about really makes them see things in a totally different perspective. It would not have been possible without the help and donatinos from all of our Secret Gift Givers. Thank You SO VERY MUCH for putting smiles on these children's faces! Their birthdays and year round holidays makes listening to childrens curious questions enjoyable! It means so much to these children, who would have gone without a birthday or holiday gift.

At a later date, I would also love to gift birthday gifts to the elderly people. If I can arrange a Community Birthday Party for the Elderly, I think they would enjoy having a reason to get out of their residential setting for a few hours. It will also show they are not forgotten about.

You can also find us by typing in the organization name. All handcrafted items can be mailed to us. Many children have enjoyed receiving the beautiful handcrafted items donated from out of state and out of country. These past volunteers made such beautiful items. The children have enjoyed their handcrafted holiday gifts.
Volunteers are needed, crocheters, knitters, plastic canvas, sewers, beaders and loom knitters to help us make the holiday gifts. We make handcrafted toys, baby items, afghans and much more. All of the items we make are given to the less fortuante children as December holiday gifts, birthday gifts for their friends and for surprise good deed gifts. We handcraft items all year long for various holidays. For Easter we make baskets and Bunnies and put Easter Baskets together. WIn the past, we had provided 150 colored eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt. We also have public picnics to feed the hungry. We do this several times a year. Our last occassions were on Memorial Weekend and Independance Day. We had supplied all of the food and fed who ever showed up to eat, at no charge. We like to promote and provide the benefits of handcrafted gifts, new and used donated items, public BBQ events to benefit the community, disaster relief, older RV's to provide shelter and running vehicles for people to get the children to the doctors appointments. The vehicle is also used to transport chidlren to special, privte and out of district schools. Our "City of Challenges" goal needs a lot of support, including vendors to rent space at our year round crafting fair events.
Volunteers are needed for our fundraisers, helping to make the handcrafted toys by crocheting, knitting, loom knitting and/or sewing. We are also listed under Disaster Relief, food boxes, disability rights advocates, along with many other various types of services to benefit the communities needs. Office and Grant writer assistance volunteers are greatly needed! We greatly appreciate all of the volunteer assitance our community can help us with. Volunteers, who are willing to help us pick up donated items around town, is greatly needed and appreciated!
Help with fundraising is greatly needed! We have also provided complete Thanksgiving Dinner food boxes and complete December Holiday Dinner food boxes, when available. Food and other Donations are greatly appreciated.

Along with Disaster Relief and a Safe House location. Public Picnics to feed the hungary occur several times a year.
